You should contact your doctor if you experience an inability to move your shoulder, lasting bruising, heat and tenderness around the joint, or pain.

Treatment at home:-

Rest. Reduce your activity, taking a break from the repetitive motions of your shoulder. 

Heat. Warm packs are good for sore tendons, muscles and ligaments and mild injuries that do not cause significant swelling. 

Ice. Apply ice to your shoulder for about 20 minutes a few times a day.

Fracture:– A fracture of any of the bones in the shoulder can greatly impair your movement and cause severe pain.
